Alternate Assessment ELA & Math

This portal is your access point for the assessment system tools and resources.

Announcements

  • Students taking the Alternate Assessment who do not have a paper-pencil accommodation should be completing their tests in the Student Interface (or Secure Browser). The Data Entry Interface (or DEI) should only be accessed by Teachers who have students with a paper-pencil accommodation. Once the student completes their paper-pencil test, the Teacher will transcribe the student’s responses into the DEI and submit the test. Alternate Assessments should not be completed on both of these sites.

  • The issue previously identified in the Idaho Alternate Assessments (ID-AA) where items were not being presented to students has now been resolved. AIR is reaching out to all callers who opened Help Desk cases to provide further details. Testing may be resumed at this time. If a Help Desk case was not created, please contact AIR for next steps. Please be aware that SDE’s Test Incident Log will also need to be completed for tests that experienced this situation.

  • AIR is currently investigating an issue where the 20-minute pause rule in the Idaho Alternate Assessments (ID-AA) is interfering with displaying items for students. At this time, we are asking all Teachers who are implementing the ID-AA to postpone testing until this issue has been resolved. If you have begun testing and notice this issue with your students, please contact the Idaho Help Desk if you have not already done so. Taking this step will ensure swift resolution by AIR for impacted tests.
